弗朗西斯·莱（Francis Lai，1932-，法国-阿尔卑斯滨海省-尼斯）是法国的手风琴演奏家和电影配乐作曲家。在他二十多岁时，弗朗西斯·赖离开了家，去了巴黎加入到热闹的蒙马特乐坛。1965年，他结识了导演克劳德·勒鲁什（Claude Lelouc），为他的电影《A Man and A Woman》配乐。这个电影在1966年发行，取得重大的国际上的成功，赢得了多项奥斯卡奖，并为年轻的弗朗西斯·赖赢得金球奖“最佳原创配乐奖”提名。这个初步的成功带来了更多的工作机会。1969年，他为导演勒克莱门特的电影《Rider On The Rain》配乐。于1971年9月被授予金碟奖。1970年，弗朗西斯·赖为电影《爱情故事》配乐，赢得了奥斯卡奖的最佳音乐，配乐奖及金球奖【最佳原创奖】。在美国，他的《Original Soundtrack》专辑进入【Billboard album charts】排行榜的第二名，由卡尔西格曼填词、传统流行歌手安迪威廉斯演唱的影片《Where Do I Begin》的主题曲作为主打单曲大获成功。这首歌曲也是他与亨利·曼奇尼和雪莉·贝西合作的结果。弗朗西斯·赖还为1978年的爱情故事名为奥利弗的故事续集配乐。
